This work is from the 'Classification Series'. The glue organism is in fact a small glue sample included in construction kits circa 1959. I have manipulated this and formed this grid.

A photograph of Rutherford's laboratory at Cambridge University was used as the basis for a line drawing. The individual lines of this drawing were then spread apart in a way that mimics the space between the components of an atom.

The image was inspired by a decorative feature found in a 'K' drama. This was developed into a form of notation that represents the event of its inspiration.

Whilst working on a series of postcards of Lourdes from the early 20th century I was trying to remove some text. Instead of substituting the background to match the surrounding, the machine decided to select a portion of the image and position it where the plain background should have been. The above images are those substitutions
